Rocco, the brand behind the groundbreaking, Good Design Award–winning Super Smart Fridge, has had a banner year. When it launched last November, we immediately knew we had to test the appliance—its chic colors, fluted glass door, and techy bells and whistles were almost too good to be true. It turns out, they weren’t; the fridge lived up to the hype and took the place of our bar carts, to boot.
Since then, Rocco has been making moves left and right with all kinds of partners in the beverage space, like sending its fridges stocked with LaCroix cans and syncing with nonalcoholic bottle shop Boisson to gift customers with a non-boozy Sips starter pack.
Today, the company announced its latest collaborator: Las Jaras winemakers Eric Wareheim and Joel Burt. And the new cream colorway with gold hardware is just the wrapping on a very stocked package.
Rocco x Las Jaras Super Smart Fridge
“We designed the fridge to complement the elegant labels of Las Jaras’s fine wine collection,” cofounder Alyse Borkan told Domino. “Inspired by some of our favorite bottles, which feature a creamy backdrop and gold typography, we selected the warm neutral tone as the fridge’s base and added a beautiful gold handle, our first-ever luxe finish.”
Included with the collab fridge at no extra charge is the first year of a Las Jaras Wine Club membership: that means six free bottles delivered over the course of 365 days. “We want to represent our whole range of wines, so we will include our 2024 Slipper Sippers Nouveau in addition to a beautiful Oregon Pinot Noir and our everyday drinking chillable red Glou Glou,” Wareheim says. Plus you’ll get a complimentary welcome shipment and a six-pack of Waves canned wines, all valued at $350. There are custom coasters with every order, too, and like all other Rocco fridges, you’ll receive a color-matched tray. The 10-year warranty is just the cherry on top, or rather the last drop of 2021 Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay.
Wareheim is drinking just that right now, and if you watch the video, below, he seemed to have manifested Las Jaras’s partnership with Rocco thanks to a little tune.
As for styling the top of his fridge, Wareheim says he likes to keep it simple. “Two glasses, a decanter, and a pull-tap wine key,” he states. And his go-to glasses for serving Sweet Berry wine? “You can’t go wrong with a universal Zalto or anything handblown—we are going for the ultimate pleasure.”
