When Drew Michael Scott, the interior design creative, DIYer, and YouTube star best known as Lone Fox, spotted a giant 17th century Belgian tapestry hanging on the wall of a local L.A. rug store, he became obsessed with buying the piece. The problem? The price tag was $12,000. “I kept going back to the shop, and I think the [owner] realized I loved it,” recalls Scott. Eventually, wanting to offload some inventory, the shop’s owner offered Scott the option to buy the tapestry at a third of the original price—he snapped it up right then and there.
Scott knows just how big of a score this was, but having built his brand around making design accessible for everyone (he is more than happy to show you how he flips thrifted furniture), he ultimately found a way to offer his audience the chance to own a dreamy wall tapestry. Enter the Lone Fox x Joon Loloi collection. Being Scott’s first major home collaboration with a brand, he went all out with 21 rug designs and an assortment of 15 throw pillows.

You might notice that one of his new rugs, the Hollyhock Printed Rug, looks a whole lot like his 17th century tapestry, and that’s because he actually scanned his original piece and had Joon Loloi recreate it on power loomed polyester. What that means for your wallet? The 3’9″x5’6″ size is a mere $79, excluding a rug pad, and even the largest 7’6″x9’6″ size is under $300. “It legitimately looks woven because we were able to get the individual knots into the rug,” says Scott.
As for how to display the Hollyhock, Scott says you can put it on the ground or the wall. “I would just use three picture nails,” he says. “It’ll look nice just hanging flush.” While there is a castle motif in the center of the textile, try not to fuss over what direction it should face when putting it on the ground. “If it’s not abruptly staring at you, like if you have a coffee table covering part of it, it would break that up,” he says.
Ahead, Scott shares a few other favorites from his Joon Loloi collaboration.
The Ones Inspired by Antique Tile

“I really loved the idea of a rug that looked like it could be a patch of tile in your house. I love tile with chipped edges and distressed antique tile, so I emulated those imperfections in pieces like Fairfax, Willoughby, and Culver.”
The Other Whimsical One
“The Reseda is so pretty. It has little bird motifs in it, which was inspired by [a design I’d seen with] block printed birds. [The original one] had a chunky border on it, so we reduced that so it feels a bit more modern. I think this would be so strong in a living room.”
The One That Feels Really Good Underfoot
“The Montecito rug is really thick with different pile heights. When you walk on it, it feels so luxe and high quality. If you are teetering between two sizes, always go the larger route. It’ll present itself a bit stronger in the [room’s] design overall.”
The Washable Ones

“I currently have the washable Doheny under my dining table, and then in the kitchen I have the Solvang in the runner size. That’s cool, too: the rugs come in so many sizes, you’re able to really customize where you want to use them.”
The Pillows That’ll Match Your Rug
“The Marmont pillow has like a little bird in it, which is super cute. I also love the shape of the Hepburn pillow. I think it’s really chic and would look so nice on a sofa or a bed, just as a singular [decorative] pillow. I look at these, and I think, if this were an [antique] tapestry pillow, this would be like $800—but they’re $39!”
