Recently on Instagram, designer Jeremiah Brent chatted about his two children with designer Nate Berkus in their New York City home, lovingly saying that he can’t believe how fast they’re growing up. As Brent spoke, he moved about his kitchen’s island, setting up two casual spots for a meal with woven placemats, striped napkins, and glasses. The black stripes on the round placemats coordinated with the dark stripes of the napkins without feeling too fussy.
“Thankfully, I have the ceremony of breakfast every morning with my kids,” he says. “It’s one of my favorite memories with them, and it’s definitely something that I cherish.”
