If you scrolled through Kate Berry and Heather Taylor’s text messages to each other, you’d find a lot of pictures of fanciful dinner plates, colorful linens, and extra-tall taper candles. “We have a shared love of tabletop,” says Taylor, the founder of home goods and textile company Heather Taylor Home. Taylor doesn’t remember exactly how it went, but at some point, not too long ago, either Berry, Domino’s chief creative officer, or Taylor herself suggested: “We should collaborate.”
What started as a simple conversation between two friends is now the newest thing to hit Heather Taylor Home. The HTH x Domino collection—officially out today!—encompasses tablecloths, napkins (regular and cocktail), placemats, and pillows (petite and standard), ranging from $26 to $288. The collaboration marks a first for Heather Taylor Home that is oh so Domino: bold stripes. “We’ve always had stripes; they’re just not our focus. People know us for other things,” explains Taylor. “So I loved the idea of doing this two-tone saturated stripe.”
If you like to play at the table (and we don’t mean with your food), then this exclusive drop is for you. The products come in three varying colorways (oat and moss, lilac and pomegranate, and lilac and moss), three varying stripe widths (mini, medium, and wide), and, in the case of the placemats, with a pleated or scalloped trim. “Putting our editor hat on, we wanted to see: How many stories can we tell within different styles of homes?” says Berry. The combinations are practically endless.
While the HTH x Domino collection launched just in time for you to set a memorable holiday table, the pieces can be used all year long for dinner parties, baby showers, birthdays, or even just sitting at the breakfast table with a bowl of cereal. Every occasion can be a special one when you’ve got the right linens.
