We love a relatable celebrity, and none is more so than Drew Barrymore. As if you needed proof, the talk-show host and Domino Good Design Award winner recently took a trip to her local Home Depot, which she calls her “happy place,” to gather supplies for two DIY projects.

As she revealed her haul—which included cheery yellow S-hooks, a rod, and hooks to hold the rod—she also shared her DIY secret: She never buys silver screws. In the Reel, she says, “Pay attention to the color on these screws. I like the patina on these. They’re old and brassy, so they’ll automatically look antique.” Later she explains her stance further: “Black rods with silver screws? Bad.”

As for the projects she’s shopping for? From what we can tell, it sounds like she’s installing a skirt for her lower kitchen cabinets (chic!) and a hanging pot rack above (smart storage!). We’ve seen the materials, now show us the results, Drew.
