This is “In Our Carts,” a monthly series in which I’ll round up my and other editors’ favorite product launches. They’re taken straight from our #editors-picks Slack channel, where our team drops the many press releases that fill our inboxes. I sort through them for the best of the best. That way, you can read just about the good stuff—nothing more and nothing less.
Wovn Home Tapped Augusta Hoffman Studio for a Collection
Interior designer Augusta Hoffman knows how to do sophisticated palettes, and her projects always enchant us with their sumptuous materials, deeply pigmented colors, and just-right styling. Custom window treatment brand Wovn Home recently brought her into the fold to create a line of Euro pleat drapery and roman shades, and the result is magic. Dark browns and greens mingle with sheers, and we want it all.
Loloi Rugs Unveiled Furniture and Decor Brand Joon Loloi
To-the-trade rug brand Loloi launched its direct-to-consumer business, Joon Loloi, this month, expanding its product mix to include furniture, lighting, decor, and lots of soft goods. The company has been known to do beloved recurring collabs with Amber Lewis and Chris Loves Julia, and we have a hunch it will continue to expand on these kinds of partnerships as the new business sets down roots.
Stylist Beverly Nguyen Dropped 3-in-1 Sprays
Domino cover star Beverly Nguyen has a knack for creating spaces that people want to step into and stay put (take her shop, Beverly’s, for starters). Home fragrance is a part of that, and she just collaborated with Atmos to bring a series of scents inspired by her childhood to market. Dubbed Memory Book, the three-in-one home, linen, and body sprays draw on scenes she grew up with, whether that’s California surf, coastline joyrides, or church mornings. We’re after the one titled Wedding, perfumed with lemon leaf, effervescent juniper, and myrrh.
Thuma Designed a Dog Bed
It makes sense that the people behind the minimalist Thuma bed frame would eventually create a shrunken size for pups to lounge on. Similar Japanese-inspired joinery is easy to assemble, and it also introduces features appealing to pet owners: a supportive, medium-density foam cushion, machine washable cover and waterproof inner liner, and three different sizes.
Flos and Bottega Veneta Collaborated on a ’60s Lamp Reissue
Iconic Italian lighting designer Gino Sarfatti unveiled his whimsical, malleable Model 600 table lamp in 1966, which is the same year that fashion house Bottega Veneta was founded in Vicenza. Late last month, the brand teamed up with Flos to release a limited edition of the light fixture, which sports signature Bottega Veneta foulard leatherwork and its arresting bright green, among four other colors. The collaboration, commissioned by Matthieu Blazy (now at the helm of Chanel), is a proper swan song for the former creative director. It’s pricey, but we love this power-couple combo.
Blue Green Works Made Wood Pendant Lamps Inspired by Half-Pipes
Blue Green Works, the design practice of Peter B. Staples, often explores lighting through the form of objects meant for other uses. That might be a sconce in the shape of cymbals or lamps that take influence from trophies. The latest from Staples is a tribute to his love of skateboarding—half-pipes inspired his new large and small wood pendant lamps. The two sizes can be stacked or flipped to create varying combinations, just like a trick at the skate park.
Hedley & Bennett and Hommeboys Released Marble Aprons
We’ve seen solids, stripes, and patterns of all sorts on aprons before, but we’re quite certain we’ve never seen the kitchen essential adorned with a marbled look. That is, until Hedley & Bennett and Hommeboys brought out their designs. Each one is 100% cotton and hand-marbled, which guarantees a one-of-a-kind garment—and a great gift.
Studio McGee Launched a Whole Lot of New Products at Target
As if she reads our story on how designers shop Target, Shea McGee just revealed pages of new products, and the new collection is stacked. There’s a good amount of tabletop and gobs of lighting, not to mention rattan pieces. There are case goods, lounge chairs, and lots of affordable throw pillows, too.
