Even if you hardly glanced at the Spring 2024 runways this fall, there’s one trend that’s been impossible not to notice: ladylike, over-the-top, straight-out-of-childhood bows. From the floor-length satin bow bags in Sandy Liang’s show to the “ribbon eyeliner” decorating the models at Simone Rocha’s, the innocent yet coquettish theme has us wanting to raid the nearest crafts store.

Spring collections aside, we think the holidays are a perfect time to hop on this trend—and there are more ways to try it out than getting dressed in the morning. Tabletop brand Sprezz just released a collaboration with of-the-moment design firm Charlap Hyman & Herrero, known for its whimsical, sometimes Surrealist aesthetic. In addition to glassware adorned with astrological symbols, it includes plate sets patterned with painted bows.

If you’re searching for more bow-spiration, Gohar World’s site is home to a mother-of-pearl knife carved in the shape. And if you’re looking to bring the style home with minimal investment, try tying a thin ribbon around stemware. You’ll get all the festive fun for merely pennies.

Gohar World Bow Knife

At first glance, I thought this was a hair clip. But no, it’s a mother-of-pearl knife carved as a bow. For soft cheese, jam, or whatever your heart desires, it adds a little sweetness to a spread.

Sprezz x Charlap Hyman & Herrero Ribbon Dessert Plates

“We loved the idea of each of the ribbons appearing as if they had been blown across a table and landed perfectly on each plate,” says collaborator Adam Charlap. Inspired by botanical illustrations from the 17th and early-18th centuries, they’re both timeless and on trend.
