If you want to go bold with your home decor, all it takes is a cool graphic print. Not ready to commit to full-on geometric patterned wallpaper yet? Stone Textile Studio just launched a line of printed fabrics and pillows that will help you refresh your space in no time.

The Austin-based company (tour the stunning office here!) is known for its contemporary wallpaper designs that blend modern prints with softer colors. Stone Textile’s founder and interior designer, Elizabeth Mollen, uses her expert creative eye to design pieces that are both fun and fresh, yet elegant and timeless. And as of this summer, she's officially expanding into fabrics and pillows.

“A lot of my interior clients expressed interest in fabric for custom pillows, draperies, and upholstery projects,” says Mollen about branching out from wallpaper. “One thing led to another, and the fabric collection was born. It's fun to see how different a print can look on a wall, versus on a sofa.”

Despite the punchy prints, Mollen ensures the pillows and fabrics remain classic by sticking to simple hues. Using a base of neutrals, she incorporates peaches and teals to create a distinct color palette that will bring just enough boldness to the home without overpowering your space.

To achieve this, Mollen used watercolor to create each pattern, and then added in the geometric elements later. “Like our wallpaper collection, the prints have a softness to them—as well as a bold, geometric feel—which is what we are known for. I love neutrals, so using blacks, whites, and grays were a given,” she says. “We then incorporated some pastel jewel tones as pops of color.”

This design process bred a wide variety of color combinations. From more subdued oatmeal and black prints to a duck egg blue mixed with black (a personal favorite of Mollen’s), there is something to suit every interior.

“I love playing with scale, so it was important for us to incorporate both larger and smaller prints,” says Mollen, pointing specifically to the Herringbone and Basketweave prints. “It was hard for me to pick a favorite, but I do love the fact that you can mix these larger and smaller scaled prints within our collection.”
