The wellness craze can’t be denied. There are juice bars popping up on every corner in cities big and small, and boutique fitness studios are replacing bars and coffee shops as the places to meet up with friends. And with few exceptions, great design is a hallmark of these spaces—whether they offer massages, manicures, or workouts.

Now, you can find all that (and more) at Saks Fifth Avenue. The retailer will open a massive 17,000-square-foot wellness pop-up called The Wellery on May 11 in their NYC flagship store. Occupying almost the entire second floor, the space features more than 18 different trendy fitness, health, and beauty brands—some of which are obvious partnerships while others are more unexpected.

“We started looking at how our customers were living their lives and what was trending in the market, and wellness was the first thing that came to mind,” says Roopal Patel, SVP, Fashion Director at Saks Fifth Avenue. “You’re coming here for beauty, you’re coming here for the latest Gucci shoes, but it’s also about how you’re feeling on the inside. What can we do to create that complete package?”

And a complete package is exactly what you’ll get. When you arrive on the second floor, visit The Wellery Concierge to book services or a class in the studio, which will feature Bari Studio, Box + Flow, MNDFL Meditation, and more. Then, make your way around the circular space to visit various brands, each of which has its own shop within a shop (within a shop).

At Breathe Salt Rooms, for example, you can experience a 25-minute dry salt treatment. At Sundays, you can get a guided meditation with your natural manicure, and at care/of, you can pick up custom supplements. If your personal wellness preferences lean more sporty than holistic, there’s Martone Cycling and Peloton for bike enthusiasts and Drive 495 for golfers.

Within each mini shop, you’ll get a taste of what it’s like to visit the brand’s full-sized store—from the design to the music to the customer service. “When you go through the space, it really does feel like each brand has its own identity,” says Patel. So in case you’re still not convinced to check out The Wellery, think of it this way: It’s like wellness speed dating to help you identify which brands and services are most you.

And if you’re a wellness enthusiast living outside New York, keep an eye on your local store. Although Patel won’t make any promises, she says, “We’re treating this as a pop-up, but it’ll be interesting to see how we bring the feeling of wellness as an experience to Saks.”

The Wellery will be open in New York through October.
