Pantone's First-Ever Lighting Collection Is a Scandi-Inspired Dream

The color company’s new line is surprisingly minimalist.

Color Giant Pantone Just Launched Its Inaugural Lighting Collection

Color giant Pantone just launched a lighting line—and it’s surprisingly non-colorful.

What it lacks in color it makes up for in style, though: The collection—Pantone’s first ever—is simple, sleek, and Scandinavian-inspired. To launch the Coll. One collection, Pantone partnered with Danish company e3light Group.

Coll. One features five products, most available in multiple neutral colorways. Choose from a drop pendant light, a pendant lamp, a table lamp, floor lamp, and multiple lamp shades. And it's affordable, too: Prices range from $60 to $225.

“The design has been developed with focus on being appealing and easy to understand for our target customer—easy to use and fit into most interiors with its very minimalistic expression, putting focus on the colors and utilizing the core of Pantone’s brand legacy,” Kåre Arndt de Thurah, e3light’s art director and the creative director behind the Pantone project, told House Beautiful UK.

The colors that are used are pretty subdued, with Pantone drawing on deep hues that are definitely fall-appropriate, yet subtle enough to work year-round. “Cardinal,” a bold red, is perfect for a pop of color while the cool-toned “Sargasso Sea” (a rich navy) and “Forest Biome” (a forest green shade) work well for more refined spaces.

And of course, there are plenty of neutral options available for minimalist aficionados. Grayscale tones pair with a modern aesthetic for an overall look that’s contemporary yet classic.
