Calling all One Kings Lane fans: the online home decor retailer is opening its first store this summer.
From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, the One Kings Lane’s shop will be located at the historic former Rogers Memorial Library at 11 Jobs Lane in Southampton. This marks the first time the library, which was built in 1895 by famous architect R.H. Robertson, will host a retail partner.
Visitors will be able to shop exclusive vintage and name-brand furnishings, get complimentary advice from in-house interior designers, and enjoy a variety of events including designer meet-and-greets and soirees. By offering all these services, One Kings Lane hopes to create a comprehensive shopping experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
“As we are always looking to push the boundaries of traditional retail, partnering with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Retail to occupy the historic 11 Jobs Lane space felt like the perfect fit and will undoubtedly be a terrific way to engage the local community and be an organic, local resource for home and design,” said One Kings Lane president Debbie Propst, in a statement.
To achieve an “immersive lifestyle experience”, One Kings Lane aimed for a space that would showcase their products while also reflecting the architectural charm of the historic building and drawing on the support of the community. Shoppers will be able to find a curated line of signature One Kings Lane products that they can buy both in-store and online. To make the experience interactive, the company is also offering free design advice courtesy of The Studio at One Kings Lane, its in-house interior designer service.
To kick off summer and celebrate its opening weekend, One Kings Lane is hosting a weekend-long event beginning Saturday, May 27th. Visitors will enjoy music, food and drink, games, and even appearances by special guests as they prepare for a season of shopping.
