The 2018 Winter Olympics have descended upon us, and if you’re anything like us, you’re glued to every jump, glide, and trick these superhuman athletes are performing in PyeongChang. To channel our winter Olympic spirit, we’ve assembled our favorite Olympic medal-themed beauty pieces, so you too can go for gold, silver, and bronze (but without breaking a sweat).
Get The Gold
Golda Sphere Soap ($18) feels like that uplifting feeling when you’ve won a gold medal (we’re just guessing here though), thanks to the unique cylinder design and incredible lemongrass and citrus scent. And the essential oils in the soap are sourced from 300-year-old Aomori Hiba trees, which is pretty rad.
Keep the gold theme for your hair with Sea Salt Shimmer Spray by Captain Blankenship ($16), which earns a gold medal for adding texture and a subtle shimmer (from natural gold mica)—plus, it's entirely organic. Atlantic sea salt adds texture, while aloe vera and sea kelp nourish and moisturize. Seventeen-year-old Chloe Kim, the adorable, wunderkind gold medalist in the women’s halfpipe, would surely be a huge fan.
Or keep gold literally at the tips of your fingers, with Deborah Lippmann Gold Digger ($50) nail polish with 24-karat gold leaf flecks. Lindsey Vonn might just have this exact polish on her fingertips while going for gold. Green tea extract and biotin add an additional much needed boost to strengthen nails, too.
What would Adam Rippon do? Highlight pre-performance maybe (and kick some major ass on the ice definitely). While he’s going for gold, you can take the gold theme literally with a bar of gold by Charlotte Tilbury ($44). The best-selling highlighter gives the ultimate glowing-from-within look.
Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Foil Eye Masks ($25 for 6) is the Instagram gold under-eye mask that brightens, hydrates, and reduces the appearance of dark circles and lines with a combo of hyaluronic acid, aloe leaf extract, and camu camu fruit extract. You’ll feel like a crowned gold medalist after wearing them around for 20 minutes.
Go For Silver
Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter Liquid Eye Shadow in Diamond Dust ($24) adds a fresh and bold night look to your usual makeup routine. Swipe it on the entire eyelid or just as a liner. Hop on this amazing, easy look, Mikaela Shiffrin (We know you like gold, Mikaela, but this silver eye shadow would look great on you too!).
And Sachajuan Silver Shampoo ($31) is perfect for highlighted, gray, or platinum hair for neutralizing brassy and yellow tones. The violet pigment shampoo also hydrates and preserves moisture, shine, and strength.
Lindsey Jacobellis loves snowboarding. But we bet she’d also love this volumizing Kjaer Weis Mascara ($38) too. The sleek silver packaging is not only gorgeous, but also a game changer. It’s entirely refillable, so when three months pass, and your organic mascara is gone and done, simply pull out the internal packaging and replace with a refill ($28).
The whole USA ice skating team would probably love a mask that guarantees shining skin to match their shining medal from the team competition. They’d be obsessed with K-beauty favorite I Dew Care Disco Kitten Illuminating Diamond Peel-Off Mask ($23), which is iconically bright silver. It’s also brightening with diamond-infused and pearl powder. (And psst: The metallic silver color looks great on Instagram stories.)
UO Metallic Foil Sheet Mask ($3) is here to make your skin naturally shine (just like Nathan Chen does on ice) with a moisturizing blend of soybean and mushroom extract, and balancing witch hazel water. 20 minutes later, you’ll be ready for your medal presentation podium close-up.
Speaking of glowing, Cover FX Rose Gold Drops ($42) can do just that with an ultra-concentrated mix of luminizing drops, which are formulated with a high concentration of pearls to give the drops a liquid metal finish.
Bronzed limbs more your speed? Try out French Girl Organics Lumiere Body Oil ($40) for sun-kissed skin’s lesser known cousin, snow glare skin (the strong sun glare that shines off the snow). It’s like a trip to PyeongChang in a bottle. Skin will be hydrated, bronzed and glowing, thanks to a combination of nut oils and bronzed mica pigments. And the scent of neroli and jasmine can waft in the winter air.
Speaking of going for a medal, jaw-droppingly incredible figure skater Mirai Nagasu (First American woman to ever land a triple axel at the Olympics!) has already won a bronze in the team competition. In celebration, grab Milk Makeup Eye Pigment in Gig ($24). It’s a bold, bronzed-packed eye shadow that is crazy long-lasting, yet super easy to apply just with fingers. And, don’t forget, Nagasu will be going for gold in the individual competition, too.
