Three more ideas we’re stealing from her latest project.

Jenni Kayne just gets warmth, and not only the mohair throw blanket and cashmere turtleneck type. What began as a modern farmhouse in Tivoli, New York, that felt “a bit too cold” is now a four-bedroom, three-bathroom celebration of her California-based brand‘s cozy coastal style. “I typically gravitate toward neutrals, but the Hudson Valley felt like a fun inspiration point for creating a home that was a bit moodier,” shares Kayne.

The property marks her second foray into larger-scale interiors, the first being a ranch in Santa Ynez, opened in 2022. Kayne plans to open up the latest house to her family, friends of the brand, and community members—in fact, it feels like it could be one of her personal homes with its open chef’s kitchen and pool overlooking the Hudson Valley. But the major difference is there’s also a wellness club on-site offering treatments with an aesthetician; Pilates and yoga classes; and meditation sessions.

Even if you never make it upstate for an acupuncture or ear-seeding session, though, there’s plenty of design ideas you can take away right now.

The Repurposed Greenhouse

Kayne worked with Gothic Arch Greenhouses to design a custom treatment room for the Oak Wellness Club. “In design books, I’ve seen these stunning guest rooms or tucked-away moments in a greenhouse, and this felt like the perfect touch—to create a self-care haven nestled in nature,” she says. Situated at the end of a meandering gravel path, the lone structure could theoretically function as a dining room, gym, or office in your own backyard.

The Artsy Kitchen Backsplash

Not all tiles need to be created equal. The property’s budding wildflowers and the botanicals in the Oak Essentials products inspired the series of hand-painted tiles by artist Aviva Halter scattered across the kitchen backsplash. “I wanted something that felt like it belonged on a farm,” says Kayne.

The Bold Bathroom Sink

We’ve heard of pink onyx and even green onyx before. Little did we know the stone came in this rich shade of red. Kayne notes they pulled the color for the bathroom sink—and matching shower shelf!—from the Dume linen sofa in the living room.

The Elevated Bedding

Fluffy down comforters aren’t the only way to cozy up a bedroom. Inspired by Belgian design, Kayne opted for floor-sweeping linen coverlets that match the headboards in each guest space. She even draped the twin beds in them, automatically taking the space from kid zone to adult approved.
