It might still be August, but we’re already inundated with ads for Halloween decor. While it’s forced us to come to terms with summer’s end, the silver lining is that many of these new spooky products are actually pretty cute—just look at this marble tray from Christina Ricci’s West Elm collab. Below are some of the items we’re adding to our cart for moody cocktail hours, kiddie pizza parties, and everything in between come October.

Ghosts and bats and spiders, oh my! We’re leaning into kitsch with these handblown decorated cocktail glasses and loving the fact that they’re dishwasher-safe.

Whether you’re celebrating Halloween or not, these smoky gray-on-gray damask table linens, made of jacquard-loomed cotton, are an ideal backdrop for moody autumn dinners. Go for a set of four napkins, a tablecloth, or a runner

West Elm x Ed Emberley Bat Candy Bowl

Ed Emberley Bat Candy Bowl, West Elm Kids ($49)

Designed in collaboration with author and illustrator Ed Emberley, this candy station was inspired by his book How to Draw Monsters and More Scary Stuff and is made out of woven water hyacinth. We’d leave it by the front door all October long.

Anthropologie Spider Taper Holder

Spider Taper Candleholder, Anthropologie ($22)

Shop Now

This metal taper holder looks vintage even though it’s from Anthropologie and gives just a subtle nod to Halloween. We recommend ordering them in multiples to scatter down a table, mixing in the crow version, too, of course.

McGee & Co. Calavera Skulls Bowl

Calavera Skulls Bowl, McGee & Co. ($62)

We did a double take when we saw this bowl, because we didn’t realize at first that the scalloped rim was decorated with skulls. Unlike most Halloween decor, white ceramic keeps things light and airy.

Pottery Barn Handmade Terra Cotta Jack-O’-Lanterns

Handmade Terracotta Jack-O’-Lantern, Pottery Barn (from $50)

Let’s be honest, carving pumpkins makes a mess. And once they’re on your stoop, it’s only so long before they get, well, less than fresh. But none of that’s an issue when you opt for terracotta jack-o’-lanterns instead.

Sur La Table Skeleton Bowl

Skeleton Bowl, Sur La Table ($30)

Whether you use this bowl for handing out candy or serving snacks at a party, it’s guaranteed to spook. We’re always looking for serveware with height to create a dynamic tablescape, making this a real keeper.
