The stunning interior is worth every million.

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but you can no longer buy Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s historic Park Slope townhouse. The property, which initially went on the market in September 2017, just sold for $6.56 million—a little below the $8 million asking price, but given the incredible success of everyone’s favorite celeb couple’s new movie A Quiet Place, we think they’ll be just fine.

According to the listing—which was held by Corcoran agents Karen and Kyle Talbott—the 5,200-square-foot home has seven bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bath. It was built in 1909—hence the old-school charm—but was recently renovated to achieve a modern facelift. Contemporary elements—like a multicolored sculptural chandelier in the dining room and printed wallpapers on the grand entry staircase—pair well against the more traditional components of the home.

In fact, this balance between old and new defines the decor of the entire property. The French Renaissance revival-style home boasts detailed inlaid hardwood floors through most of the residence and artisan-quality crown moldings and millwork.

In the front parlor, the more traditional elements are contrasted with bright teal velvet chairs and a contemporary brass chandelier. The front parlor, which leads into a middle parlor (casual), has a stunning gallery art display that takes up practically an entire wall.

The neutral color scheme with pops of brighter shades is a motif that continues into the aforementioned middle parlor. Whitewashed walls include built-in bookshelves on either side of the stately fireplace, but the focal points of this room are undoubtedly the bold blue couch and mustard yellow armchair—they add such warmth to the space.

Equally stunning is the chef’s kitchen, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight that runs the length of the room. Bright white custom cabinetry offsets the black countertops, and pops of red (as seen in the pendant lights and bar chairs) add an extra element of modernity.

Upstairs, the master suite floor—yes, a whole floor—includes a master bathroom with a stained glass skylight, as well as access to a second-story terrace.

Six more bedrooms are located throughout the home. The more informal family room has exposed ceiling beams and a full brick wall in order to add a somewhat rustic feel to the otherwise elegant home.

But perhaps the most impressive feature of the house comes in the form of something that’s all too rare in New York real estate: outside space. The home has an outdoor area with patio furniture for entertaining, as well as tall wooden fences that provide a private oasis in the middle of the city.
