Well, this could put a dent in your upcoming holiday hors d'oeuvres.

Sabra, purveyors of perhaps the most popular and well-distributed line of hummus, has issued a voluntary recall and health warning to consumers that should have you looking before snacking.

According to the company’s release posted on the Federal U.S. Food and Drug administration’s website, almost all of Sabra’s 57 hummus varieties—from plain, to Supremely Spicy to Basil-Pesto—may contain listeria, no small matter.

Symptoms of listeria infection include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea for healthy adults, but the effects on infected elderly, infirm, or young patients could indeed be fatal. Simply, it’s not worth risking a bite in any way. Other Sabra products—yogurt, guac, salsa, etc.—seem to be unaffected.

Sabra is currently advising customers with any products with a “Best Before” date up to January 23, 2017 to get rid of the spread immediately and hit them up for a refund here

Again, it’s worth running to the fridge for a quick check before you plate your crudités.
