A touch of natural green brings the outside in—like a sculptural cactus or free flowing hanging plant. For a richer feel, emerald-hued velvet or a glossy forest green tile adds luxe to a room. “Green evokes emotion; it’s sensual and confident,” says designer Kelly Wearstler. “Green also sparks creativity. It evokes a cool, tranquil vibe, and plays well to spaces where one wants to feel relaxed and at ease.” At Miuccia Prada’s new Pasticceria Marchesi and the Wes Anderson-designed Bar Luce, both in Milan, we’re loving the retro-chic shades of avocado and moss. Throw on a tropic-inspired palm-print shirt (like the bellboys and gals at the recently opened Ace Hotel New Orleans) and you’re set.
