I’m in the midst of packing up our apartment for an impending move across town (town being Brooklyn), and I’m in the “reconsidering every piece of furniture” phase. Is there something you’ve regretted getting rid of in a move?

I know for sure I’m not parting with my kitchen tools—I dedicated this week’s Thursday edition to the pieces that helped us squeeze the most out of our very, very small space.

Today’s guest editor is Los Angeles stylist Merisa Libbey. She is a longtime Domino contributor with an amazing eye, and the projects she brings us are always soulful, inviting, and as warm as the California sun. She also has a bit of a wild streak—in a former life, she fronted a popular underground punk band—and I like to think that inspired her Current Mood topic: chartreuse.

What I’m loving right now: The color chartreuse. I’ve also seen certain shades referred to as citron or citrine. Basically, it’s a yellow-green. It’s versatile, fun, and bold, and as long as you choose the right shade, it’s easy to live with.

I’d recommend it to someone who likes…refreshing, energizing color moments in their home.

Three real-life ways I’d try it:

  1. Inspired by Hotel Covell, I went for it and had a custom chartreuse sectional made by Clad Home (above right). I’m obsessed.
  2. If a whole sofa seems like too much of a commitment, try a throw pillow or blanket.
