Usually, I don’t start thinking about setting a resolution until January 2. This year, I’m way ahead of schedule. After hearing how comedian Eric Wareheim, the star of our November digital cover, has slowed way down—he’s listening to whole records in a single sitting and going to stone yards over Hollywood parties—I decided on my goal for 2025: Be present. Jonathan Pessin from NFS came over and made fun of my lamp, and he said, “Get this Urban Outfitters thing out of here!” At first I was offended, but then I realized he was right. And I turned to rust as a passion.
  • Tall is tremendous! I have been collecting these 7-foot LaVerne sculptures from the ’50s, and they even…
