If you follow flower crown aficionado Christy Doramus, you know the beauty PR pro-turned-floral design expert loves the color pink. So when her team grew out of her home office and moved into a basement studio this past fall, we knew it was going to be an inspiring extension of her brand. Think floral wallpaper (four, to be exact) and lots of pink accents.

Doramus said, “the studio is incredibly girly and my happy place.” Which could not be more true of her favorite room of the office: the refrigerator room, which is used to store fresh flowers, finished crown orders, and tons of Spindrift Sparkling Water, naturally. The room is complete with a pink ‘50s, retro-inspired SMEG refrigerator, Vivian Mae wallpaper from Lulu and Georgia, statement shelves from Wayfair, and the doorway to the team’s outdoor garden space.

Though it might seem that the space was designed based purely for aesthetic purposes, that could not be less of the case. Being a floral design and event company, every surface needed to be able to withstand flower petals, glitter, and hot glue, which is just part of why the carpet initially installed was a no-go. The space was also designed to double as an entertaining space. Cocktail parties, bridal showers, birthday parties, and DIY classes will be (and already have been!) held in the office, which is a testament to how cute the space really is.

“We chose furniture that could be easily moved for entertaining such as my desk which is often converted into a bar and our gold shelves that we fill with plates, napkins and glassware when hosting. Our conference table can also easily be converted into two dining tables for a breakfast or DIY class,” said Doramus.

Keeping fresh florals and a fully stocked bar cart of champagne handy doesn’t hurt either.

Another standout design element in the office is the stunning neon sign hanging in the conference room, which Doramus had commissioned from French artist Valentine Herrenschmidt.

She said, “I have been a fan of her work for ages and always hoped that I would have the perfect place to feature one of her pieces. The sculpture she created for my office reads ‘Il y a des fleurs partout pour qui veut bien les voir’ which is a quote from Henri Matisse that means ‘there are flowers everywhere for those who want to see them.’ I have always loved this quote and thought it was just the perfect piece for the studio!”
