Though filled with plenty of thrilling, wonderful sights, New York City is not a place where you can easily find spacious, relaxing apartments. Zosia Mamet, however, has impressively crafted a soothing environment in her Upper West Side apartment, and now you can rent it for yourself.
Mamet purchased the two-bedroom co-op back in 2015 with her husband, Evan Jonigkeit, for $1.6 million. They placed it on the market at the end of October, and now, after a slight price decrease, it’s available for $5,000 a month.
A collection of seemingly vintage furniture nods to the building’s pre-war history, while contemporary light fixtures add a modern twist. Throughout, a gentle color palette composed primarily of blues, creams, and tans makes the Manhattan abode an oasis from the chaos of the city.
Most impressive, however, is the pristine bathroom, which boasts marble tiles and a deep tub. The kitchen, similarly, is outfitted with marble countertops and white cabinets that work to open up the space. A few small touches, like double shower curtains, abstract artwork, and a few sprigs of eucalyptus, make the apartment feel inviting and intimate.
Mamet’s taste in design is elevated and refreshing, and through careful selection of unique pieces (a tartan armchair, a natural wood lamp, and earthy patterned throw pillows), she transformed her apartment into a comfy and calming place. Now we can’t wait to see which space she decorates next.
