If summer approaching has you itching for a new travel itinerary, you might want to consider moving Iceland to the top of your list. WOW Air, a low-cost transatlantic airline, is offering one sweet deal (h/t Business Insider) to two very lucky people: Move to Iceland for three months and travel around the world. The catch? You’ll be required to create travel guides for every location that you visit, which honestly sounds like the best summer job ever.
WOW Air is sponsoring two friends to explore some of the airline’s 38 destinations across Europe, North America, and the Canary Islands, all while capturing their adventures via vlogs and social media posts. At the end of each trip, the content will be compiled into travel guides for each destination on WOW Air’s website. From June 1 to August 14, the lucky winners will call Iceland their home base while living and working in downtown Reykjavik, but they’ll also get to explore new countries all summer long.
The job will include assessing each city on its food, nightlife, activities, hospitality, and affordability, which doesn’t sound like a bad gig for a salary of about $4,000 (3,300 euros) per month. Not to mention, WOW Air will cover all transportation and living expenses in each destination.
WOW is accepting applications now through May 14. To apply, you need to submit a two-minute video of a travel guide to your hometown. The winners will be announced on social media on May 18.
Content creation not your thing? You can still travel to Iceland on your own terms for super cheap: WOW Air is also offering flights for just $69 for a one-way ticket to Iceland from 13 cities in the US in certain summer and early fall months.
