Hi everyone! I am  @laurenswells,  a creative director based out of Boston, with a passion for travel and anything outdoors.  @matthewawells  and I are both New England natives, and we have called this city home for the past seven years. I am excited to share some of my favorite local spots with you, and I hope you enjoy following along! #locallyinspired .

@matthewawells  and I live on the west side of South Boston, making it easy to walk just about everywhere! we have a small backyard that we treasure, with a Paris meets Tulum kind of feel. Our home style leans towards the simple and the minimal, but we love to display items from our  #wellsfamilytravels . Our neighborhood is constantly growing and evolving, with new businesses and restaurants popping up all the time – a few favorites include  @locosouthbos@lawnond  and the brand new  @coppersmithbos .

If you don’t live in Boston and are looking to spend the night, I recommend  @theverbhotel.  mid-century design meets an outdoor pool meets  @hojokoboston  – it doesn’t get any better!

@loyalninecafe  is a wonderful coffee shop in Cambridge. the vibe is ‘relaxed and inviting garage’, and is very reminiscent of the open air coffee shops we loved so much in chiang mai. the latte art is beautiful, the ceramics are handmade by @spiralcup, and they serve nitro on tap – the best! “Tatte Bakery” –  @tattebakery  is a favorite among locals. the muesli and shakshuka are out of this world, and the crunchy haloumi salad is what lunch dreams are made of. This photo was taken at the Charles Street cafe, but each location is as lovely as the next.

6after you grab lunch on Charles Street, you can wander through all the cute shops, too! favorites include  @decemberthieves@dressboston@crushboutique  and  @shopfollain . I am a prop stylist for  @shopfollain , and the image above shows one of my favorite brands to style,  @herbivorebotanicals .

Beacon Hill is also home to my favorite neighborhoods, all of which are the epitome of class and charm. My favorite streets to stroll are Acorn and Chestnut, where you will see the cutest door knockers and the most beautiful window boxes.

No trip to Boston would be complete without a visit to the @ bplboston . The courtyard is magnificent, and the picture above is from a recent wedding I designed there. It was a beautiful evening for a beautiful couple!

Last but not least, Boston is home to the newly opened @ bostonpublicmarket , as well as many beautiful farmer’s markets. My personal favorite is the one on Dewey Square, across from South Station on the Greenway, and I always leave with a cortado from  @thecoffeetrike , a chickpea fritter from  @cloverfoodlab , and a fistful of wildflowers.
