When it comes to shopping for furniture and decor, designers know best—after all, professionals know the premium places to hunt for special decor treasures. And while we all have our favorite mid-range furniture brand or big box retailer, we totally trust their judgement. Which is why we took to the pros to ask them their go-to place when it comes to shopping for home decor. From local shops to online retailers, their choices range as much as their decorating styles. Do you and your favorite designer shop at the same stores? Find out. Just make sure if you’re going shopping IRL, you pack your bag accordingly.

Natalie Myers loves

The Citizenry

“I’m crazy for The Citizenry. It’s a small company with big aspirations and they are killing it with unique, handcrafted, globally and ethically sourced home goods that instantly add a structured polish to bohemian lairs.”

Lauren Raskin loves ABC Carpet & Home

“They have such a wide range of furniture, rugs, lighting and accessories and offer so many different styles and price points all within one home store.”

Ashley Burdette  of Sugar & Cloth loves

CB2

“I’m into CB2 for unique and affordable pieces, or Wayfair and Overstock for a little bit of everything.”

Neffi Walker shares our love for HomeGoods

“I am obsessed with Home Goods and HomeSense (who isn’t!),” she says. “You can find so many interesting items under one roof at amazing prices.”

Joanna Hawley loves Blu Dot

“My eyes are always open when it comes to sourcing decor and furniture for my home. I love shopping a local monthly flea, but also keep my eyes on Craigslist for affordable finds. There are also furniture and decor brands that I will always adore: Blu Dot and Rejuvenation are my top two.”

Sarah Wittenbraker loves WornandDomestic.com

“I love to browse our sister site WornandDomestic.com, a curated site dedicated to home and fashion. When I need to accessorize my house or a client space (or my wardrobe!), I always find a huge selection of fresh ideas.”

Lindye Galloway loves Serena & Lily

“Being that we are in Southern California, most of our clients are looking for a style with an underlying coastal vibe. We love going to Serena & Lily for outdoor furniture and fun pillows. With the mid-century modern style making such a comeback, we love adding furniture pieces that lend a nod to the era from West Elm, and HD Buttercup is another great place that we would recommend for their huge selection.”

Becki Owens loves Etsy

“I love shopping Juxtaposition Home in Newport Coast. It’s a nearby store with gorgeous textiles and furniture. Also, I often find amazing rugs on Etsy using key words like OuShak, vintage style rugs, or

kilim rugs

to name a few.”

Shea McGee loves McGee & Co

“Our online store is where we’ve handpicked our favorite pieces to create a shop that embodies

studio mcgee

s signature style: bright, clean, and collected. Obviously, it’s my go-to place.”

Susana Simonpietri loves Chango & Co

I have to plug my Brooklyn store, Chango & Co! We carry all sorts of gorgeous home decor items at really affordable prices and our shop is a great extension of our design process but helps to bring some of our style into homes for a more affordable price.”
