Gone are the days of manually lugging a suitcase around the airport, with said suitcase just simply holding clothes, and practically being deadweight. Nope. In this day and age, suitcases can charge your phone, track its own location from your phone with Bluetooth technology, and even give you a ride around the airport.
But now, one suitcase is going a multi-tasking step further, and solving all your parenting dilemmas: The Valeto is a sleek carry-on suitcase from Kamo doubles as an easy access diaper bag, but it can also grow legs by turn into a clever highchair. Welcome to the future, folks.
Kamo, a design company with a focus on innovative designs for families, is launching the very clever product that will make traveling with babies and kiddos significantly easier. It’s the world’s first all-in-one highchair, diaper bag, and carry-on suitcase.
“Traveling and outings with a baby can be an extremely tiring experience for parents, whether you’re going across the country or simply just to dinner, Valeto was designed to remove as many headaches as possible with a premium, luxury product,” said KAMO founder Tony Chen in a press release. “By creating a high-quality, all-in-one device, we believe we can encourage families to go places and do things they might not have otherwise done.”
And easier the carry-on will be, from removable organizational baskets, to a magnetic ‘backdoor’ for easy access toys and snacks, to two built-in disposable wet wipes holders, to the pièce de résistance: transforming from a rollable suitcase to a highchair in five seconds flat (no more bacteria-laden public highchairs and seats).
Five seconds? Yep, it’s as easy as lifting up the handles for the chair back, pushing the armrests up to automatically expand the four legs (which thanks to the aluminum legs, can support up to 120 pounds), and clicking the dining tray onto the armrests.
Valeto will be available for preorder on their site on Cyber Monday for the heavily discounted price of $249 (it will be sold for $399 afterwards), and the estimated ship date is May 2018.
