After a long, dark winter, there is one remedy that we can count on to renew our spirits every spring: color. There is no better way to shake off the cold weather blues than with a healthy dose of bold new palettes and punchy patterns—and that’s exactly why our Spring Issue is an annual celebration of color.

Our muse for this season? Cover girl

tyler haney

founder of the massively popular sportswear brand Outdoor Voices. Haney takes us inside her mid-century Austin ranch—designed with an aesthetic not dissimilar from OV: clean, but earthy—and shares her inspiration behind the brand’s palette. “I wanted to use beautifully earthy, muted tones—colors that you would typically see in fashion—and mix them with non-neon brights,” she says. It’s a look we’ll be channelling all spring.

Elsewhere in the pages, you’ll find our current favorite hues for the home (best new combo: royal blue and terracotta), and super creative ways to play with pattern. Photographer

annabel mehran

expertly mixes botanical prints with vintage finds in her LA home for a bright, bold space that brings the outdoors in, while interior designer Kim West marries electric pastels and prints galore—the living room features floral drapes, graphic flooring, and an unexpected checker-print sofa—in her Texas bungalow.

But the inspiring home tours don’t stop there. Others include a playful family home in Nashville, a monochromatic Manhattan condo, and a bold Brooklyn apartment, complete with a tree house. In other words, this is not an issue you want to miss.
