If there ever comes a day when you and your significant other achieve “power couple” status, know that you better have a “power apartment” to back said prestigious title up. One A-list duo who knows the pressures and perks of the celebrity couple lifestyle all too well? Supermodel Gisele Bündchen and her New England Patriots quarterback hubby, Tom Brady.
Situated in a luxury building in the Flatiron District, the couple’s sky-high condo is the epitome of luxury New York City living. And while the swanky downtown dwelling boasts stellar, celeb-approved views of, well, all of Manhattan, that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t mind giving it all up for something better.
Just days after stunning the Met Gala red carpet (honestly, how is it actually fair that two people look that good?), Bündchen and Brady have decided to take a second go at selling their One Madison spread, which the pair had originally listed back in 2016 for a cool $17 million. According to Curbed NY, the twosome has officially re-listed their palatial spread—this time dropping the asking price to $14 million.
Designed by celebrity architect Peter Marino, the 3,310-square-foot condo—which the couple purchased back in 2014 for $11.7 million—sits 48 floors high and spans the entire floor. A private elevator opens directly into the living room, where potential residents can soak in views of both the Hudson River and Empire State Building.
Textured walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, soothing neutral tones, and sleek marble finishes impart the ultra-posh spot with an instant sense of calm. An abundance of natural light floods the elegant, open-layout living area which encompasses a formal sitting room, kitchen, and dining nook.
With enough room for a colossal sectional, the detached family den is fit to accommodate plenty of kiddos or, if your husband happens to be a legendary football player, larger-than-life professional athletes.
Seeing that we all have those days when we’d rather curl up in the dark—no matter how stellar our apartment views—homeowners can shut out the sunshine by taking advantage of the automated curtains.
Elsewhere, potential residents will find three bedrooms with en suite baths, including a decked-out master bathroom that comes complete with wall-length windows and a two-person soaking tub. But, if it’s a lap pool that you really prefer, there’s one downstairs—along with a fitness center, steam room, and private movie theater.
Bündchen and Brady can enjoy equally-extravagant amenities at their other downtown pad in Tribeca, which they snagged back in 2016 for an astounding $20 million.
Michael Bolla of Sotheby’s International Realty currently represents this star-owned listing.
