Sarah Sherman Samuel knows a thing or two about doing it yourself (just look at her Michigan home). After launching her Quarterline collaboration with cabinet pros Semihandmade in 2017, the former Domino cover star has now made it easier than ever to get the look of her kitchen—and customize it. Samuel’s latest partnership with the brand, available now, is a blank-slate version of her favorite, sleek fronts

Renovators are no longer locked into a singular set of shades or matte finishes. Even though the original color options were broad, they catered to neutral lovers and fan-favorite hues (like navy and pale blue). Now, however, the sky’s the limit. Paint them bright pink, match to your backsplash, or opt for a simple wood stain to show off the MDF’s grain. “I’m a firm believer that your home and your kitchen should be a reflection of you,” says Samuel.

Trying to blend every brushstroke, not to mention the amount of drying space (and time) needed, can be daunting. But Samuel insists it’s easier than it looks. “Invest in a paint sprayer,” she says. “It will save you so much time.” As for the colors she thinks will be everywhere this year? “Warm whites and any shade of green,” she declares. Throw mauve in the mix and we think she’s right on track.
