Sara Kate is the founder of @SaraKateStudios a retail shoppe and design consulting studio. When she is not traveling to scout pieces for her #SKSshoppe or working with clients she loves wandering the city she affectionately calls home.

I love the unusual and the storied: pieces that harken back to another time — items that say, “I’ve had a little adventure.” I believe in a mix of high and low, and investment pieces that become those family favorites to be passed down for years to come. At the #SKSshoppeand studio we collect and curate items for clients and customers looking for that item with that certain je ne sais quoi.

@junctioncoffeeOKC is this sweetest little double decker bus turned coffee shop. It’s the perfect place to meet a friend for morning coffee and toast.

One of my favorite lunch spots, or places to work from in the afternoon, is @kitchen324 by @goodeggdining. This vibrant space has the most beautiful detailed ceilings, marble tiled walls, and these fantastic moody turquoise banquettes. It is a place that makes me feel like I am in the center of the city and yet left alone to myself to work away as I please. The food and coffee is pretty fantastic, too!

@TheDrakeOKC by @goodeggdining is one of the newer restaurants in the city and bustling with patrons every day of the week. The perfect place to grab a small plate with loved ones and enjoy the beautiful crisp space with meticulously curated details. I suggest the “Rum Runner” cocktail and some fresh oysters to start.

@ChirpsandCheers is my favorite store in the city. It’s the perfect curation of stationary, pens, stickers, wash-tape and the-like. The owners are the absolute sweetest and it always encourages me to send snail mail and remind people that I’m thinking of them.

Wandering the historical neighborhoods in the city is one of my favorite pastimes. There are so many charming houses that are being given new life and charming details. Try checking out Heritage Hills, Mesta Park, Gatewood, and Crown Heights – just to name a few! This front door belongs to a dear friend who just renovated the most incredible international style home – her #chamerlainreno turned out perfectly!

@blue_7 is one of my favorite locally owned stores. Their staff is so incredibly sweet and they have a little bit of everything – it’s a great place to purchase for a gift for yourself or others.

@PowerHouseOKC has been such a hidden little gem in the old Farmer’s Market district. Located in the original power house for the surrounding area, this little bar has some of the best cocktails in town and the coziest little atmosphere. I suggest the Spicy Sexton-rita, a bag of their spicy peanuts, and a seat by the outdoor fireplace under their strung lights.

Cozied up in this sweet little 1920’s apartment the old saying certainly rings true that “there’s no place like home.” #ChezLittle is currently in transition as we’re still in the newlywed phase and trying to merge our pieces together. Thank goodness my sweet husband was prepared for my eclectic (and often pink) pieces making their way in.
