This summer, visitors to the Hamptons won’t even have to get out of their cars to stock up on rosé. The Wölffer Estate Vineyard Wine Stand in Sagaponack will be selling its popular Summer In a Bottle and Estate Rosé wines via a new drive through during Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends. All you have to do is pull into the driveway, place your order, swipe your credit card and someone will place a case of rosé in your trunk before driving off to your destination.
“The idea for the rosé cart came to fruition as we wanted to offer a seamless and convenient way for our customers to purchase wine faster as they battle the heavy traffic heading east,” says Joey Wolffer, co-owner of Wölffer Estate Vineyard. “We will have staff dedicated to the rosé drive through that will process payment and then place the wine into the trunk of your car. We encourage people to stock up for the summer, as we normally are all out of our Summer In A Bottle by July.”
In addition to the new drive through offering, the winery, known for its Friday and Saturday night sunset events, will unveil a new tasting room this season. Featuring a large bar with stellar views of the vineyards, the owners have added communal seating and several new design elements.
“The wine flights and cheese boards have also been updated for the season and we now serve our No. 139 Dry Rose Cider on tap at the bar,” says Wolffer. The family also opened a second outpost of their Wolffer Kitchen restaurant in Amagansett earlier this month with rosé-inspired fare.
