Brooklyn based designer and artist Rebecca Atwood knows a thing or two when it comes to quilts. Not only were they an ever-present part of her family life, they often popped up in her educational and artistic ventures. A visit to the Folk Art Museum, a job at Anthropologie, and various trips to India all contributed to her love of quilts. Atwood couldn’t resist their allure. It was only inevitable that she would create her own line of quilts for her eponymous design brand. While Atwood began her quilt project over two years ago, this week her hard work came to fruition with a beautiful line of handmade, one-of-a-kind heirlooms, which will undoubtedly be treasured for many generations.
There are eight lovely quilts in Atwood’s collection, five of which have already sold out! The quilts are composed of a mix of linen and cotton fabrics, and one can feel the sense of personal history imbued in each piece. The colors are soft and muted, making it the perfect accessory in any room, whether it be hung on the wall or draped on the sofa.
Psst! The quilts are reversible, so you can change up the look and feel of the room by simply flipping it over!
Atwood’s latest venture is only a natural progression within her ever-growing collection of beautiful textiles. Her impeccable taste extends through her work, resulting in pieces that are absolute must-haves.
