If you’ve ever wanted the classic elegance of wedding season styles to last year-round, you’re about to get your wish. Pottery Barn is launching a bridal-themed home collection in collaboration with the queen of bridal herself, Monique Lhuillier.
“I hope to inspire consumers by encouraging them to create special moments that bring style and delight to any celebration,” says Lhuillier. “Whether we’re throwing a glamorous holiday party or hosting impromptu drinks, entertaining should be an effortless, glamorous, and fun celebration of your life.”
Lhuillier launched her bridal business in 1996, and soon after expanded to ready-to-wear—she’s been making waves in the fashion community ever since. She is known for her feminine, romantic designs with a contemporary edge, and we can expect the same from her partnership with Pottery Barn.
“Throughout the design process we drew inspiration from Monique’s gowns, finding the perfect balance of femininity and modernity as we translated her use of color, prints, and texture for the home,” said Monica Bhargava, Pottery Barn’s Executive Vice President of Product Development and Design.
The collection will span multiple seasons, with the first installment launching in October 2017. Fans of Lhuillier’s designs can look forward to seeing her signature style reflected in everything from bedding to tablescape decor. Each item will be reminiscent of Lhuillier’s spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection, which featured light pastels balanced out by darker, more dramatic pieces. The line was heavily texture-based, featuring everything from delicate lace to flouncy tulle to elegant brocade, and we can’t wait to see those translated to homeware.
“The collection blends my passion for entertaining with my love of fashion to capture a unique sense of style, one that exudes femininity with a modern sensibility,” said Lhuillier of the upcoming collection.
This isn’t the first time the designer has worked with Pottery Barn: She debuted an ongoing collection for Pottery Barn Kids in 2016. Now, adult fans will be able to bring a piece of her designs home too. The collection will be available this fall in select Pottery Barn stores and online.
