To celebrate the opening of the new Whitney Museum of American Art, as well as the inaugural exhibition America Is Hard to See, Max Mara Chairman Luigi Maramotti hosted an exclusive dinner and viewing of the new museum before it opens to the public on May 1, 2015.

In addition to a private architectural and artwork tours of the new space, celebrity guests such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Dakota Fanning (both dressed to the nines in Max Mara) sipped handcrafted cocktails and enjoyed unique insight on works from Museum Director Adam Weinberg, Chief Curator Donna De Salvo, and famed architect Renzo Piano. Guests also enjoyed a seated Italian dinner created by master chef Nick Anderer (of Maialino) on the top floor of the museum before ending the night dancing away to tunes spun by celebrity DJ Zoe Kravitz. A fete truly fit for the occasion.

he Whitney Museum of American Art opens May 1st at its new location, 99 Gansevoort Street in New York City.
