Given SNL alum and funnyman Mike Myers’ silly spirit, it’d be easy to assume his home would reflect his particularly goofy perspective and style. But, to our design delight and surprise, Myers’ New York City duplex bears no trace of Austin Powers, Wayne Campbell, or any of his other iconic silver screen alter egos. First listed for $17 million back in 2015, the four-bedroom abode—which sits on Soho’s much-desired, cobbled Mercer Street—is back up for grabs.

Per Trulia, the Canadian-born comedian is now selling his cool NYC pad for $13.95 million. And while the Shrek star’s 4,204-square-foot condo has seen a serious price drop, that doesn’t mean the A-lister isn’t set to make a serious profit once it sells. Considering the star dropped $8 million for the abode when he moved into the space in 2008, it’s safe to say that Myers’ eye for real estate is anything but funny. An effortless ode to maturity, the actor’s Manhattan penthouse features sleek living spaces fitting for dedicated bibliophiles and master entertainers.

A true book lover’s haven, the chic and spacious living room doubles as a library. Spanning an entire wall, the custom crafted bookshelves allow new homeowners to showcase their extensive collection, while the rolling ladder offers quick access to beloved reads.

The space’s sky-high ceilings and enormous windows help introduce the day’s light—making it especially hard to turn down a good book on a sunny day.

Myers’ streamlined kitchen just off the grand living room makes a serious case for cooking-in. The tranquil contrast between the soft maple cabinetry, stainless steel drawers, and stone countertops provides a design-focused place to prepare shared feasts.

A grand, glass-enclosed staircase leads to the home’s meticulously landscaped and irrigated rooftop terrace which is situated atop the seven-story structure. While the private deck’s shaded pergola offers a serene outdoor retreat during the warmer months, it also serves as the ideal spot to cozy up with a glass of wine and admire the city during autumn.

The master bedroom and ensuite—as well as two additional bedrooms and a laundry room—can be found on the penthouse’s lower level. Much like the rest of the home, the master suite similarly features soaring ceilings, larger-than-life windows, and plenty of built-in shelves for books and other personal knick knacks. A separate work space, lounge area, and fireplace further contribute to the bedroom’s contemporary grandeur.

The loft-styled building also features a number of celeb-worthy amenities, like a 24-hour doorman. Pretty groovy, right? The listing at 72 Mercer Street is currently held by Amy Mendizabal of Compass.
