It’s been hard to keep this one to myself! Very excited to share that our family will be getting a little bigger this year ??

We thought the most exciting news in Lauren Conrad’s life was the launch of her brand-new podcast, but we were so wrong. ICYMI, major congrats are in order for the best-selling author, who announced on Instagram that she’s expecting her second child with her husband, William Tell.

“It’s been hard to keep this one to myself!” Conrad wrote. “Very excited to share that our family will be getting a little bigger this year.”

We’ve long been admirers of the former Laguna Beach star’s effortlessly chic style and her ability to seamlessly translate her creative vision from fashion to entertaining to home decor. If the breezy blue bedroom she designed for her 1-year-old son, Liam, is any indication that Conrad knows her way around a nursery, we expect nothing short of Pinterest-perfect this time around.

Having opted for a coastal-cool palette and textured neutrals in the past, we predict that Conrad’s new nursery will boast an easy mix of happy florals, warm woods, and Scandinavian-inspired silhouettes. Here are five essentials we hope to find in her Cali-cool oasis.

For sweet dreams

A bold botanical bumper is bound to keep Conrad’s little one warm, cozy, and (hopefully) sound asleep through the night.

For lounging around

This modular rocker can be configured as a loveseat when it’s time to cuddle or as a single chair with a bassinet come naptime.

For bedtime stories

Lighting is everything when you’re winding down at the end of a busy day. This minimalist floor lamp will set the mood for slumber.

For extra storage

A staple in breezy West Coast nurseries, this teak ladder works wonders in Parachute founder Ariel Kaye’s Venice Beach home as a bonus spot for her daughter’s blankets—we think Conrad would love it too.

For learning to crawl

A plush rug gives little ones a soft place to land as they learn to walk and doubles as a decorative anchor. Bonus: This one can be tossed in the washing machine.
