When it comes to planning your holiday shopping, it’s never too early—which is why we’re so excited about Land of Nod’s newest collaborations. The children’s home goods designer is partnering with not one, not two, but three iconic brands to bring you everything you need to make your little ones happy this holiday season.
“We’re so excited to collaborate with three iconic brands this holiday season!” says Land of Nod Managing Director Danielle Kurtz. “Care Bears, Paul Frank, and Dylan’s Candy Bar embody the joy and playfulness of being a kid, and their originality and nostalgia reflect the spirit of the Nod brand so well.”
Launching September 6, each retro-inspired collection offers something different. The Care Bear partnership celebrates the 35th anniversary of Care Bears in conjunction with National #ShareYourCare Day in the form of a limited-edition line of home furnishings for kids. This 80s-inspired line is a colorful ode to the original Care Bear designs, including vintage plush toys and fun wall art.
“I’m totally obsessed with our Care Bears for Nod collab! It makes me feel like I’m nine years old again,” says Kurtz. “We worked closely with the Care Bears team to design custom pieces that evoke the spirit of the Care Bears original collection from the ‘80s; we even offer a re-issue of the original plush Care Bears in our collection.”
The second partnership is with an equally beloved brand: Paul Frank.
“We’ve been a fan of Paul Frank since the brand first launched, and our partnership came about really organically,” continues Kurtz, who actually reached out to Paul via Instagram. The two got to talking on the social networking app and from there, the collaboration was born.
The Paul Frank partnership, which was first announced in June 2017, marks Frank’s first as the re-instated face of the brand. With pieces ranging from $34- $249, there’s something for everyone. Expect the bright, playful style Paul Frank is known for; and of course, the brand’s famous Julius the Monkey is reimagined in everything from sofas to wall art to quilts.
“Paul Frank for Nod is just plain fun! The collection celebrates friendship and encourage kids (and parents) to never grow up,” says Kurtz.
Finally, a third collection with boutique candy shop-turned-national phenomenon Dylan’s Candy Bar promises sweet treats printed on various home goods items. The candy-inspired collection includes vibrant room decor and even holiday ornaments that start as low as $9.
“For the holidays, we wanted to bring the colorful world of Dylan’s Candy Bar to life at home with bright, candy-inspired decor from The Land of Nod,” says Kurtz. “From the scratch-and-sniff bubblegum wall decals to the candy ornaments and gingerbread playhouse, the Dylan’s Candy Bar for Nod collection is guaranteed to bring out your sweet tooth!”
