We thought former Laguna Beach and The Hills star Kristin Cavallari was a Cali girl through and through, but it turns out that the A-lister’s interior style couldn’t be further from the truth. For the past two years, the reality TV star has been embracing a cozier and slower life in Nashville, Tennessee, alongside her NFL star husband Jay Cutler and their three children. Charmed by country living, Cavallari has embraced a rustic-chic aesthetic at home, and it shows in her latest collection of entertaining essentials. Featuring hints of concrete and copper, a new line of home goods from her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James Home, just landed at Nordstrom.

“I’m obsessed with copper, so the copper wine glasses and copper tea kettle—they are useful and can double as decor,” Cavallari recently told Nordstrom of the collection.

While Cavallari’s jewelry has been available at Nordstrom since last April, the addition of her kitchen and housewares collection is new. Perfect for springtime entertaining, the kitchen and bar essentials make curating the ultimate cheese board and mixing up a chilly concoction look as good as it feels. More importantly, it’s a chance for shoppers to bring Cavallari’s covetable—yet totally unexpected—traditional-rustic aesthetic home.

“My home’s interior is inspired by my travels, my love of simplicity, and the beauty of the landscape surrounding us,” says Cavallari of her personal style. “I love to bring in chic, feminine touches to balance the earthy tones and materials throughout the house.”

So long, Laguna: Here are five pieces we’re snagging for a touch of Cavallari’s Southern style.

Mixed-material objects can lend texture and intrigue to a space that’s lacking both. This industrial-rustic marriage of concrete and wood will elevate the room (and plant) it belongs to.

All good entertainers know that the heart of any dinner party is the cheese board. In this case, the chic addition of a copper plated handle will encourage conversation as guests go in to snag a snack.

Serving utensils that feel good in your hand and look good on the table? This resin-and–mango wood duo is a win-win.

Picture this: a warm summer Nashville night and a fresh scoop of ice cream. Yeah, we’d leave the beach behind for that too.

Our weekend plans? Laguna Beach reruns and extra-dirty martinis.
