Our library is an ever-growing shrine to Joanna Gaines. With a cookbook and first-ever design guide already under her belt (and on our shelves), the designer took to Instagram this morning to reveal that she’s planning to debut another covetable read. This time around, however, the HGTV alum had a little help.

“Today’s the day! We get to finally share this project the kids and I have been working on!” writes Gaines. With her littlest one, Crew, perched on her lap, Gaines is pictured seated at a table sorting through pages of an illustrated book titled We Are the Gardeners. Look a little closer at the cover and you’ll find that the charming byline attributes the book to Joanna Gaines and Kids.

We wrote this children’s book together to tell the story of our journey in the garden—a story of trying and failing and trying again and never giving up. We hope it inspires you and your little ones to get outside, get your hands dirty, and grow something great!” adds Gaines.

According to Magnolia, We Are the Gardeners isn’t a fictional tale but rather a chronicle of the real adventures that Joanna and her five children faced in starting their own family garden. From hungry bunnies to failed endeavors, the story appears to be filled with practical advice on how to grow a happy garden (kids or no kids in tow). We Are the Gardeners ($20) is set to launch on March 26 and is already available for pre-order online.

Our green thumbs will be bookmarking this sweet and surprising release as a must-read for spring.
