Despite what your weather app might be telling you, it is, in fact, springtime. So, one of our favorite Swedish retailers (*cough, Ikea, cough*) thinks it’s about time we all get reacquainted with the outdoors. Later this month, the company will be hosting a two-day event dubbed Make Room for Nature at Ikea stores across the nation in order to inspire customers to refocus their energy on living sustainably and embracing Mother Earth with a series of workshops, giveaways, special food offers, and more.

As rings true for all of Ikea’s enlightening, weekend long soirees—remember when they taught us how to actually organize our home and entertain for friends over the holidays?—this event comes with major discounts. On Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 from 9:30 am to 4 pm, Scandi-obsessed shoppers can snag warm weather and eco-friendly goods on super sale… but only for a limited time.

Ikea is truly ushering in savings for all: Customers can take $25 off any $150 in-store purchase (get your coupon here) and up to 20 percent off a slew of favorite home staples, including BESTÅ storage items, cushion covers, and EKTORP sofas. Additionally, all Ikea Family Members can pick up LUNNOM LED light bulbs (which can last for up to 20 years!) for 25 percent off. Sparing your wallet and the planet? It’s a double win.

Okay, yes: The savings are stellar, but you’ll also walk away from the event with more than just a pile of Frakta bags in hand. In light of Ikea’s newest sustainability initiative—which includes adding more plant-based ingredients (and yes, even bugs) to their market menu—the retailer will be running workshops and activities all weekend long to help teach customers how they can live more in tune with the environment on an everyday basis. The eco-focused workshops we’ll be bookmarking include learning how to upcycle home products and how to take proper care of your house plants.

Parents with kiddos in tow can let their little ones run wild during the “sustainability scavenger hunt” while they shop—just don’t forget to snag your free cup of coffee or tea before you embark on the day’s festivities. And if you’re not already an Ikea Family Member, you might want to consider signing up: The first 200 members to show their loyalty card each day will receive bonus giveaway gifts—ranging from chocolate bars to closet hangers—and can also enter for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

You can find more information about the Make Room for Nature event and special offers at each Ikea location here.
