Ever wish you could live in an architectural wonder, designed by the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Carlo Scarpa, or Charles and Ray Eames? The price tag of one of those structures may set you back a couple million, but now, there’s an alternative for less than the cost of a movie ticket. Yield’s architecture series of home fragrances translates masterful designs into enchanting aromas.
Reported by Fast Company, the collection is handmade in Florida and features several fragrances inspired by specific structures. The Wright fragrance features notes of desert rose and amber, taking cues from the architect’s winter home in Arizona, while the eucalyptus- and birch-scented Entenza fragrance is based on the Eames-designed Case Study Homes in the Pacific Palisades. The collection also includes some more broadly inspired aromas, like the Spanish moss–scented Coquina, based on a material made of compressed shell and limestone.
The collection originally debuted with a limited run of candles in the summer but more recently launched incense, which, at $15 per pack, offers a more affordable means to bringing your favorite designs into your home. We’ll still dream of settling down in a Frank Lloyd Wright home, but for now, at least even the tiniest studio apartment can feel a little bit more inspired.
