While it still feels a lot like summer, fall is surely on the way! It’s my favorite season: less humidity, more breezy and cool days, great new fashion trends and of course, FALL COLOR. I love when designers use rich autumn hues in their spaces—those warm, earthy colors and deep jewel tones are wonderfully compelling in interiors. Here are some great examples. Hope they inspire!
This study/library by the wonderful designer Susan Heidenberg is one of my favorites—I love how she plays with fall colors here. Those chocolate brown walls are perfection!
Here’s another view of that same room. Such a gorgeous space!
Designer Shelley Morris is a mix-master extraordinaire. I love this vignette for a living room. The art, accessories, and their arrangement create a gorgeous contrast against the white walls. It makes the space feel more modern yet wonderfully warm at the same time.
Francine Gardner’s Intérieurs is well known for it’s carefully curated pieces and impeccable style. This room, designed by Francine is both visually compelling and inviting. The rich purple accents are an inviting centerpiece that makes the room stunning and comfortable.
This New York City apartment, designed by the uber-talented and fearless Jennifer Smokler highlights an autumn palette in unexpected ways! The result is a playful yet sophisticated living space—even the art boasts vivacity and sophistication.
Designer Lynn Cone always knows how to make an entrance! Every element of this captivating foyer is beautifully orchestrated to create a warm and inviting entry. And of course, the use of stone and wood further amplifies the fall aesthetic.
The brilliant textile and rug designer, Rosemary Hallgarten has a gift for making a space come alive. By perfectly combining color and texture, this family room maintains a hip, modern vibe and still makes you want to settle in for hours with a stack of magazines. The roaring fire helps, too!
If all of these spaces don’t make you want to grab a hot cider, a soft sweater, and take a foliage drive… maybe this will. Enjoy!
