We may be experiencing the tail end of winter’s wrath, but we’ve found a much-needed source of escapism in spring 2019 decor collections. Take the fresh offerings from CB2, for example. The modern retailer has managed to restore our sense of optimism via its March 2019 collection, offering Moroccan-inspired textiles, beachy rattan furniture, and vibrant faux botanicals sure to restore a sunny disposition.
The line is all about mixed materials and warm, natural hues; Rattan, marble, mahogany, leather, brass, faux shearling, petrified wood, cowhide, grasscloth, and terrazzo all make an appearance in the collection. True to form, the line doesn’t stick to one design aesthetic and encourages shoppers to mix and match different styles, silhouettes, and materials in their space.
While every piece in the collection is vying for our undivided attention, we can’t help but notice the rattan room divider. Designed by Brett Beldock, the piece is not only incredibly practical for apartment-dwelling urbanites, but it also functions as a piece of art. We love the fan-shaped peekaboo panels and light honey finish and can imagine this living between a bedroom and living room in a studio apartment or near a closet to create an alcove of privacy.
The piece also reflects a growing penchant for room dividers in the design world; retailers like The Inside, Urban Outfitters Home, and Target have also come out with their own iterations of the ’70s-inspired piece.
