How do you throw a non-cliché baby shower? Pinterest is chock full of ideas, but our favorite has to be the bohemian trend. There’s something whimsical about drape-y fabrics and lots of natural elements that seems perfect for celebrating the impending arrival of a baby. Planning your own shower (or just want to get some inspo to add to your own Pinterest boards)? Here are some of our favorite boho baby showers.
This pretty flower wall fixture is perfectly understated, which is ultimately in line with the casual vibe of
Interior Designer Katie Hackworth used an old branch and twine to DIY this striking piece for her friend’s baby shower.
A boho tent made out of lace is so much chicer than a regular old coffee table as a gift station. Lined with flowers, it’s a statement-making piece on its own but we love the throw pillows laid out nearby where people can gather for present-opening time.
What’s more bohemian than being outdoors? There’s even a flower crown present; though this one happens to adorn the large wicker chair directly next to another teepee (we sense a trend here). This shower was inspired by the 1960s and more specifically Woodstock. It even included a
and indigo tie dye decor.
We’re not sure what we love more: The bright blue painted buffet table, contrasting millennial pink (there’s no escape) fabric, or the seriously stunning flower garland. First Look Events designed this shower to look like an “elegant woodland event”, and included an arch made of aspen wood to drive home the woodsy theme.
A more minimalist take on the bohemian motif, this gorgeous little nook in blogger
s baby shower is all sorts of dreamy. From the pretty bouquet of greenery and flowers hung up as wall art to the pared back dessert table that puts fresh blooms at the forefront, Samuel’s shower proves that simplicity is anything but boring.
Photographer Heather Kincaid captured this modern boho moment perfectly, which sees a macrame-esque wall hanging as the focal point—minus the equally attention-grabbing drip cake, of course. A simple floral cake topper beats out anything more commercial anyday.
This self-described “girly boho” setup keeps things simple yet nature-inspired. Pink blooms offset by plenty of greenery and wooden accents—we love the crates used instead of more traditional stands—sit atop a vintage dresser for a feminine look.
Okay, so this technically might be a snapshot from a gender reveal party… but swap out the balloon letters for a more appropriate phrase and it would work wonderfully for a baby shower, too. A rope hanging planted is the ultimate bohemian touch; as is having a bar cart in lieu of a buffet table. Very chill, and very low-key.
