Husband and wife design duo Bob and Cortney Novogratz have partnered with Momeni rug makers on an exclusive collection of area rugs set to hit stores this January. Known for their spirited approach to shapes and word play, the popular couple—who also star in HGTV’s “Home by Novogratz”—drew inspiration for the line from Wes Anderson films and vintage Scandinavian design books. “We hope these rugs bring as much joy to people as the creative process has brought to us,” says Cortney. Items from the Novogratz by Momeni collection will be available at specialty retailers beginning in January 2017.
Pretty Pastels
Inspired by the Delmar Loop in The Grand Budapest Hotel, several rugs from the collection feature pale pastel tones mixed with whimsical shapes.
Paper Perfect
The Novogratz’s designed the “Vintage Fruit” rug to look like kitchen wallpaper from the 1950s.
Modern Shag
Influenced by Scandinavian Rya rugs, the “Retro” series is defined by clean lines and classic shapes imposed on vintage-style shag carpeting.
Pink Plush
Made of polyester chenille with super plush cotton backing, the “Dancing Girls” rug is every bit as soft as it is durable.
Catch a Wave
The curvy lines and bright hues of the “Retro Wave” rug echoes the mod motifs found in old-school Scandinavian designs.
Happy Place
The sunny colors of the “Flower Child” rug will add instant warmth to a drab space.
Retro Fix
Shades of orange and gold were used in some of the rugs to echo the glittery hues of the 1970s.
Kid Ready
Colorful, geometric patterns layer nicely in a children’s room and create more comfortable flooring.
