Fashion and beauty entrepreneur Aerin Lauder is adding another feather to her cap: a collaboration with home brand Williams Sonoma. From tableware (scallop-edged plates, white pitchers, and blue and white dinnerware) to confetti glasses, gold bamboo picture frames, wicker/rattan barware, table linens and throw pillows, Lauder has thought of everything for the home with this collection. “Williams Sonoma has been in my home for as long as I can remember,” says Lauder. “Both Aerin and Williams Sonoma share the same sense of style and passion for impeccable design.”
Blue and white is in her blood. Her grandmother, Estee Lauder, of the eponymous cosmetics giant, loved the color combination and used it often in her family’s homes (even the brand’s products feature this palette). “The collection incorporates a ton of blue and white, which is a staple of my brand and part of my decorating DNA,” says Lauder. “The collection was inspired by my personal philosophy that living beautifully should be effortless and shaped by my passion for entertaining.” What inspired Lauder for this collection? “Vintage pieces and patterns,” says the designer who loves to travel. “I love to collect pieces from other cultures and countries and incorporate them into my collections.”
What else is Lauder currently loving? “I am wearing our new Rose colognes,” she gushes. “We launched three different scents so I switch them around based on my mood and where I am.” Plus, Lauder is never without her beloved ballerina flats when she’s entertaining. “They go with me everywhere and are the perfect shoe to take you from day to night.”

“There is nothing more summery and classic than a blue and white table,” says Lauder.
“The ceramic plates are inspired by my grandmother Estee’s love of blue and white delft,” says Lauder. “She always collected this type of ceramic, and it became her signature and mine, as well.”
“My grandmother loved the combination of blue and white, and it’s a palette that I knew from the beginning that I wanted to incorporate into the collection,” says Lauder.
“Gold framed artwork or images of family and friends are staples in all of my homes and office spaces, and I love the frames we developed for this collection,” says Lauder. “Picture frames filled with loving memories are definitely my favorite home accessory. It’s an easy update, and they are effortless decorative pieces that make a space feel warm and lived-in and allow for beautiful finishing touches with a modern feminine sensibility.”
“Straw is such an important part of the Aerin brand DNA, whether it’s in fashion, beauty, or home. I had presented the team with straw wine holders and coasters as inspiration, and that is where it all started. The speckled glassware is a perfect example of how we incorporated different tones of blue to create a casual, yet luxurious feel.”
