About
Andie Diemer is a visuals editor, art director, and producer. She joined the Domino team in 2019 and oversees Domino’s daily visuals, from digital covers to home tours. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband, daughter and rescue pup.
Experience
Diemer has worked as a producer, art director, editor, and retoucher in the art departments of a variety of magazines, both print and digital, including Cookie, ELLE, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, SELF, Martha Stewart Living, Martha Stewart Weddings, GQ, and Pitchfork. She has photographed dozens of live concerts across New York City for The Bowery Presents, and was also a member of the Emmy-winning crew of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, where she designed hero graphics for season eight. Whatever the idea, Andie can help make it a reality — just ask her about the time she cast an owl for the cover of Martha Stewart Living.
In her free time, Diemer is the photo editor of Kazoo, an indie print magazine for girls that celebrates them for being strong, smart, fierce, and true to themselves. Kazoo was originally launched via crowdfunding and was the first children’s magazine to be awarded the General Excellence, Special Interest award by the National Magazine Awards.
Education
Andie graduated cum laude from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and minors in both Art and African/African-American Studies. Andie was editor-in-chief of Elon’s student newspaper, The Pendulum, when they won the national Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press, the highest honor the ACP gives.
Highlights
- Interests include gardening, kayaking, hiking, cooking, traveling, and her rescue pup, Milly.
- Andie is also on the Board of Directors for Switchback Books, a non-profit feminist poetry press, and GoldMx Collective, a private collective for freelancers working in the arts.
Most Successful DIY Hack
After moving during the pandemic from Brooklyn to a lakeside bungalow, we installed two outdoor saw horses to function as storage for our kayak and stand-up paddle board. Easy access means more time on the water!
