For a little extra inspiration, the Domino editors' favorite Instagrammers takeover our feed each weekend. It's safe to say tips and covetable images are aplenty. Here's what you need to know about the most recent feature!

Arounna Khounnoraj and John Booth opened their multidisciplinary studio in Toronto with a love of art, a passion for sculpture in all mediums, and most of all, a desire to create things by hand. Bookhou was created first as studio and then as a brick and mortar shop, but remains a brand that values quality over quantity, and craftsmanship above all. Each of their goods—from tote bags to homewares— is created in small production, favoring an artisan style of excellence in design. This weekend, Khounnoraj joined us for an Instagram takeover, sharing a few of her and Booth’s designs, along with the inspiration behind them.

Inspired by the world around her, Arounna pulls a lot of inspiration from the nature. Her designs often reflect an earthy aesthetic of muted hues and natural materials. We love the way she translates her favorite flora and fauna into hangable works of art.

From the pretty mobiles to functional, yet beautiful pillows, the hand-crafted quality of Bookhou’s goods are unmatched. Many of the pieces are created custom, so you know after you place your order either Khounnoraj or Booth are busy creating your piece especially for you. In a time of fast online shopping, we could all appreciate the thought and intentionality behind Bookhou’s artful and meticulous creations.
