To be honest, I’m such a Schoolhouse fan that I happily paid full price for its iconic plaid rug to put in my daughter’s nursery. So the brand’s Black Friday Is On sale—20% off sitewide November 21–December 2, which goes up to 25% if you spend more than $250—pretty much guarantees I’ll be doing some shopping. Here are the utilitarian-chic pieces I’m perusing. (Psst: A little birdie told me to keep your eye out for a few surprise Schoolhouse flash sales starting next week.)

Maple Drying Rack

Our flimsy drying rack has been half-broken for years. It’s time. This solid wood one has lots of positive reviews, plus it’s made right over the border from me in Pennsylvania.

If you receive our Home Front newsletters, you know I’ve been meaning to swap my bar cart for something sturdier. This cabinet’s cherry red legs and knobs would provide a fun contrast to my clover wallpaper.

Dolores Plug-In Sconce

This folded scalloped shade is so unique for a plug-in sconce—and I happen to need one for our sunroom.

This bowl from the Clare V. collab is like a giant piece of candy. My clutter might actually look cute.

Tulbend Quilt

Tulbend Quilt, King

$279 $223

The Stillwater floral quilt gets all the Instagram love, but I’m more of a Tulbend girlie. (How sweet are these tulips?)

Scallop-Trim Napkins, Set of 4

Scallop-Trim Napkins, Set of 4

$39 $15

Even when we eat dinner in front of the TV (which is admittedly more than I’d like), we pull out proper cloth dinner napkins. The barely there trim on these is the perfect subtle nod to the scallop trend. Oh, and they’re a whopping 62% off.

Velvet + Wool Circle Pillow

Velvet + Wool Circle Pillow

My very angular sunroom sofa could use a couple round pillows to soften it up. The front is velvet, while the back is wool in a different shade for a little contrast.
