Refined European style meets exotic Indian design. During the rise of Colonial England, soldiers inhabited India and brought with them their style preferences, which impacted architectural design throughout India. This clock is from a 19th-century architectural structure. It was common in England to have clocks on the façade of community centers and housing buildings. To help bring a sense of home to their new land, colonists installed stone, faux clocks on existing structures.
