This is an original lithographic map taken from Rand McNally’s Unabridged World Atlas and Encyclopedic Gazetteer, which was first published in 1937. Rand McNally, established in 1868 in Chicago, is now a household name in atlases, globes, and road maps. The company was formed as a partnership between William Rand and Andrew McNally, and they became the second map publishing company in Chicago, second to George F. Cram’s. The Unabridge World Atlas is a modern-milestone in the history of cartography. Framed in a wood moulding, cream mat, and UV glass.
